Environmental education

Environmental education is mainly related to the organisation and targeted education about the functioning of the natural environment and the human role in the sustainable management of ecosystems.

A sustainable community model is based on respect for nature and the environment, universal human rights and social equality, and it is equally applicable to the public, both globally and at national and regional level. Environmental education plays an important role in creating such model, as the result is an individual self-realization of a single person, as well as the development and welfare of the society as a whole.

The Association “Baltic Coasts” is aware that sustainable management of natural resources is only possible with knowledge of the possibilities and needs, hence the association is actively engaging in public information and education on the topics of environment and its protection-related fields through information campaigns, seminars, as well as issuing informative materials.
